Mixed and in need of help

I'm a 15 year old high school student and I have two major problems that have been taking a toll on my grades and my comfort of life. There are a couple of problems. The first problem is that I can't get my self to do the work that is assigned for me to do at home. I believe the cause behind this is the fact that my computer (which has been constantly locked up and taken away for the past five years) has been suddenly given back to me. Everything is unlocked and I am free to do as I wish. It is very hard for me to focus on my work, even for shot periods of time. As I am writing this I have a late essay for history, and all type of other subjects to finish for tomorrow. The second problem considers my relationship life. Before I continue, I have to say that I don't have many friends, I'm on good basis with most people, but I don't have much friends. Ok, so my girlfriend dumped me about a moth ago. And I believe I've got over her, but I really like her. This feeling is starting to fade really slowly, but there are times where it comes on very strong, and I fear that it may return if I try to make friends with y ex or if I have another girlfriend. I'm open to all suggestions on both of the problems, but pleas, if you do not have good experience on the topic you're responding too, pleas save me from taking a wrong path based on your suggestions. Thank You.

At first my computer was filtered to stop me from watching porn (which I did anyway) and then it got to the point where I could barely could search anything. Then it was given very strict time limits. I believe another reason behind this was my behavior. Me and my girlfriend went out for about a month. The relationship was really unsuccessful since we live far apart from each other. When something was wrong (about the time we broke up) she would talk to me through her friends (feeling-wise). Then she wouldn't give a clear reason for our break up.

1. I'm a 16 y/o girl, and I think I have been in your spot. My sophmore year, I had waaaaaaaaay too much tech available to me and my grades tanked. 2. I was also inveloped in my relationship, (turned out to be a bad one, read my prob) and that also contributed. As for the tech, I'm proud of you for recognizing the problem. I'm sure I couldn't have ever done that.. Either set up a schedule with the tech in one room and do your work in another. Maybe talk to your doc about it. I've had ADD for 9 years, and didn't know it because I never admitted I was having trouble focusing. If I had, my grades wouldn't have suffered. If all else fails, give your tech to your parents, say "Don't let me have this until my work is done." As for the relationship, start on a new you. Focus on you. Don't jump into a new relationship. Bad idea. Take all of her things, or anything that reminds you of her, either trash it, burn it, or give it to one of her friends to give it back to her. Just don't be bitter. Never solves anything. When you really miss her, don't sit and dwell, but don't run from the pain and don't run back to her. Find a distraction and a healthy one at that. Drawing, playing an instrument, any form of self expression. Talk both of these problems out with a teacher, your parents, or school counselors. I don't have too many friends either, so I feel ya. But be careful who you share this stuff with. It may come back around to bite you. Best of luck, chap! :)
