Never talked to me after sex... edit

I met this guy and we started talking for about two weeks. He seemed to be the perfect person, we had so much in common and I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn't just want me for sex and that he actually wanted a relationship with me. As we started to talk about relationships more and more he said that he has to have sex with the person before getting into a relationship because if it's bad then he doesn't want to be in a relationship with them.. sounds very bad but at the moment it just seemed like what a typical guy would say. I asked him that if we were to have sex would he stop talking to me or would he continue to pursue a relationship with me? He said of course he would keep talking to me and that he would never do that cause he's not an butt hole. I am an adult so I did as I pleased and had sex with him. After, we went out to eat and he said he would text me once he got home.. It has been a week since I have heard from him. I am so confused as to why he hasn't talked to me. I am so upset with myself for giving in knowing that this is how men are. I don't do this often, I trusted him for what he told me and I don't sleep with anyone. What makes no sense to me is that he went out of his way to introduce me to his family and make New Years plans with me yet I've heard nothing from him since. Even after we had sex he said it was great sex and that we should do it again. And, I know he has a twitter, although I don't follow him, I went to his posts and he has been tweeting. I am so lost, I would just like some upbringing advice since I have been beating myself up over this.
