In desperate need of advice

My name is Scarlett and im 12. Ive been dating a 16 year old guy online for about 7 months. I follow him on instagram and his kik on instagram is different then the kik i text him on. Also he will text me "love you night" to me then i wont hear from him for days. Then out of the blue he will start texting me again and just acts all normal. His best friend is a guy and is bisexual and has a crush on my boyfriend. His other best friend is his ex girlfriend which worries me. He lives in Canada and i live in NC and we have never met. Its so hard when he dosnt text me because i never know when/if im ever going to hear from him again. He also is a drinker and goes to partys and gets drunk. I never know what hes going to do and dont know if hes telling me the full truth. I feel like hes keeping things from me. Also in his pictures on instagram he has an iphone and a mac computer but tells me that he cant facetime/ or skype. He says he has a twin sister named Kacie but on his instagram it says he has a younger sister named Raven. He says he really wants to see me but he dosnt even try to make an effort. Its like he dosnt want to see me. This whole situation makes me frustrated and makes me cry every once in a while. Please help me out.

Firstly, how do you know he is who he says he is. Anyone can create a profile using any pictures of anyone. The fact he won't Skype even though he has the tech sounds dubious. I personally don't understand how anyone can 'date' online. Kids your age get groomed by older men, so please be on your guard. If he really wanted to Skype you but didn't have the tech, then he could have just used a mates computer or gone to an Internet cafe - there are loads of possibilities. Don't cry over someone you have never met in person. Take care.

Dear Scarlettse - Do your parents know you are 'dating' a 16 yr old? Yes, his story is odd! Why would he want to 'date' someone so much younger than he is? That 4 years is huge. Be very careful meeting this guy! Discuss all this with your parents! Be Careful, Whatsup
