Stuck in my own thoughts about a girl, please help

1 Year and a few months ago i met a girl at a party. Her boyfriend was the bestfriend of one of my closer friends. I was speechless as i saw her and i just thought she had something so special, something i never seen before. As weeks went by we went to party's where we would meet her boyfriend ( at that time becoming my friend ) and obviously see his girlfriend too. We met at like 10 party's but never really talked, only the crazy eye contact which went on for more than a few seconds.. It was messing with my head for days, weeks but i seem to find rest in knowing she had a boyfriend and i would never get to her that way. Now a few months she and her boyfriend broke up ( as i heard from my friend ). I was happy and sad at the same time when i found out. Like, what do i have to do now? I can't obviously just random start talking to her at a party because her exboyfriend a.k.a my friend ( wer're not close or not like talking to each other on facebook ) but still... he's a good friend from my friend group and it sucks. For me it's like a signal i can't do something because if my friends would notice i would try to get to know her i'm probably getting laughed at and so much more. I thought about hitting her up on facebook and just see how that goes but i'm pretty sceptical about that. Well i don't see a solution and i've been looking for one for a long time. It's messing with my head and i can't take it anymore. Someone, please help. P.S: I'm not really scared to show my friends i like her but i don't want them to know i tried getting along with her and get something with someone's ex. It feels wrong here but the feeling is definately too big to just let it go. Big thanks for anyone giving me helpfull tips.

few things RVCA.. 1. If this girl is yours, it'll happen...give it time. 2. Most of us are someone's ex. 3. Your friends have no say in your life. If you were confident and didn't worry about what others say or think you wouldn't be here. 5. You will mature as you age and there will come a day when you will look back and ask just what were you thinking back then? 6. Eye contact says it all...your instinct is talking and so is hers.

I'm 19 years old btw but i'm mainly asking what i should do when it comes to make contact? Just try to talk to her on facebook and see how we get along or? at a party it's pretty weird since she's always around her friends

My previous post is all about life..when you're 19 your outlook is different to those who have lived a bit. This girl has caught your eye and you have caught hers, but if it's going to happen, it'll happen when it's ready to happen..you can't force it. You can maintain contact any way you want but if you really want to get to know her you'll put yourself right in her face...you'll go where she goes...and if she's comfortable about your initial eye contact, she'll permit herself to talk to you....regardless of your friends and what they think.
