My wife caught me masturbating, now she's mad

Long story short, my wife and I have been together for almost 3 1/2 years, married for just over 8 months. a couple of weeks ago, she caught me masturbating and claims I wasn't thinking of her while doing it. I have tried to explain to her that I'm always thinking of her, but she doesn't believe me. She says she doesn't want my excuses anymore, but I've been truthful in my explanations. I just don't know what to do. Can someone help, please? What should I do?

Vyper, I don't understand why people frown upon masturbation. This is 2014. It's natural and therefore has a place in marriage. How can your wife know what you're thinking? She caught you?!?? She doesn't want your excuses? What about hers? What her excuse for not believing you or even allowing you to do what comes naturally. Insecurity? Mistrustful? Controlling?

She doesn't need excuses, he is only supposed to love his wife not have a crush on former a co-worker and still in love with his ex. Says to his wife that most girls he works with are prettier than his wife.

Forget about there is a problem. Its not that big that it should be addressed. All you have to do is flatter her, pamper her, hug her, tell her how much you love her etc. Don't bring up this topic and whenever she brings it up just pull her close to you and say something romantic.

None of that will work on her. If he'd rather be with a towel than his wife then then something's wrong. She too fat for his liking probably.

What if their sexual needs are different? What if the time he needed it she wasn't compliant and what if this is a repeating episode many times??? Don not judge based on your personal experiences. Each situation or person is different. Come off it, it was only an imagination (and you don't even know what he was thinking...could be he was thinking of her in an imaginary situation??). Imagination spices up the marriage. The lack of it will get you into a boring monotony and will very likely end up in cheating. I agree with SUSIEDQ that there could be past problems which boiled over at this point.

No worries he can have his imagination run wild or go after who he really wants. He'll have plenty of time, His marriage is OVER now. Wife was always willing and able he just chose to do his thing.

Hi i think it was a shock. Firstly I think she is degrading you. Masturbation is normal and self preservation. It can bring up so many emotions up in others. I was in a relationship where I found porn , and stuff it does hurt to the very core of you, I remember crying so so hard felling unloved, unwanted, unattractive, ashamed, of him, anger, brain damaged. The reason I felt all this things was, because I never trusted anyone, never really let anyone in. Affection was non existent in the relationship , so to go to an extreme to seeing that felt like a betrayal. I never embraced things , never opened my mind, he ended up going to strip clubs , a few months later. I felt inadequate, useless. Some people are just not sexually compatible. I left no regrets ......

Well he can keep doing what he's doing and lose his wife, then him and his hand can be together all the time, forever and ever. I've already lost all attraction to him, I'm just here as a taxi, maid and cook.

Looks like there are plenty of small-small issues here other than just this one. I suggest you both try counseling before giving up totally on it. If he has told you that other girls are more attractive than you then I agree with you. He requires counseling for sure!
