I am really confused here......

First of all,thank you for listening.Almost two months ago,i started talking with somebody online,who is the same age as I(confirmed,because we also video-chat once),but lives in another country.We talked about everything that teenagers face today:problems,music,sports,school-life,movies,sexuality,etc.We even advised each other about our problems,but we never exchanges personal information,like home address,full name,etc(since it was online chat).So,as you see,it was a pretty ''safe''(as much as it is)way to get to know somebody and to help myself with my problems somehow(by getting advise or another opinion).We even did things online together,such as movies simultaneously watching,games,etc.Once he even told he liked me,but since we lived far away from each other i didn't pay too much attention to that.I guessed we passed into ''another level''.He would always be like''I love you'' and other things like that and we started talking more,like 3-4 hours a day,which is a lot.We got much closer.Then,almost two weeks ago,we had tiny arguments.I always didn't take them seriously and we managed through them successfully,but this last week he has been pretty distant.We barely exchange a message anymore,he always says he was at the gym and hanging out with his buddies whenever i ask what did he do all day.It is pretty weird,as you can see.He just jumped in this situation.When i asked him once if he wanted to end all this,he replied with a ''why do you do this?'' and once between a tiny argument of ours he even told me to find another if i wanted to,he wouldn't mind,although in the very first beggining he mentioned that he wouldn't be able to bare that and that after all he would blame himself for that.So as you can see,i'm the girl here,but he's the drama queen.He's been neglecting a lot lately,being away and whenever i tell him what's he doing this way,he tells me ''i was all day here''.Whenever i text him,he responds way later and once he didn't even respond.I always thought I wouldn't be affected from all this,because i only feel a mere likeness towards him,but now i magically miss him.It's too confusing.What should i do:end this up or another thing?Please,help me.Thank you.
