My ex cheated on me, found another girl and now doesn't pay the money he owes me!

I was in a long distance relationship for 4 and half years as we both were studying in two different countries. Things were great but last whole year he changed so much and in November he confessed he cheated on me with an older woman. I was gutted cz I paid for his trips to two countries because he told me he was going for a break with his friends. he has never asked me any money so I had no doubt when he asked me to pay for his trips. However, he has gone to see this woman and she has dumped him in November. He confessed that he cheated on me . I felt terrible cz he used my money to sleep with someone else. Since our parents knew I had to tell them what he did and they advised me to stay away from him. It was difficult but we kept in touch on and off. So in January I came back home and i thought he 'll come and discuss things with me in March but instead he found a new girl on fb by end of January and now they are dating .He even uploaded pics with her on viber since I have blocked him from other social networking sites. Last whole month he was chasing me saying he wants t talk about the money he owes me n I ignored him. But eventually I asked what he wants and he said he 'll pay my money every month. I said ok and sent him my details and said I need closure. Two weeks for today he hasn't deposited a penny but uploaded a pic with the new gf. He ignored my msg too. How should tackle this now ? Please help me figure it out!

Hi Ginz, just reading your story made me smile, because I was in exactly that position around 6 years ago. I had a long distance relationship for around 3-4 yrs. This was due to some immigration related problems. While I was dating him, I had his son, so I was committed to sticking it out for the long haul. During that time, I regularly called and sent him money, which I have since totalled it up to around 3k. We broke up, not because he cheated or anything, but we grew apart. Once we broke up, I still felt worried about him and continued to give him money. when we broke up, I asked him for some money back as I needed it at one point for our son. he said he would give it to me and it has never materialised to this date. I would advise, depending on the amount of money you lent him,to just write it off as an experience. It seems that he has made it clear that he has moved on with this new girlfriend, and has no doubt lost the urgency to pay you back. However there is no harm in querying the money, to see if he will or has an intention to return it. However if your gut instinct tells you he wont. I would forget about it and move on. being gentle with yourself as you get over the breakup. He has got you details if he does or is going to pay.

You may never see that money again. He sounds like a real jerk. I'd question him in person if I could.
