I know its cliche, but I'm in love with my best friend and she might be leaving

Ok, I don't normally do this kind of thing. But I really need someone elses voice on this. I am head over heels in love with my best friend. I've know her about 2 years and Ive loved her most of that time. I know she only thinks of me as a friend so I do my best to control my feelings. Its really damn hard though. I've had to physically restrain myself from telling her or acting on it many times. I once bit my thumb so hard trying to shut myself up. It bled Everytime I think Ive got a handle on things she throws me some curveball and sets everything off again. Its not unlike me to get home after a day with her and just break down. And to make things better, she might be leaving soon. Shes going on some course that could see her abroad for months at a time. I have no idea what to do anymore as everything is getting stronger. Do I tell her? (That will end badly) or do I cut contact? (Which might kill me) Help

Hi big decision, I think you would have picked up by now if she wanted more than friends. When she moves away thins will get easier for you and you can still be her friend....... If you tell her and she does not feel the same you risk loosing her as a friend...... You need to decide what you can live with? If it were me I would hold onto the friendship..... It is possible that she already knows.....girls can pick up on that.....

Tell her. Tell her all of this. Regardless of how it ends, it will give you closure and knowledge at least. Explain the things she does which make you like her more and how those curveballs mess you up. She's going to be leaving soon, so if she says no, you won't have to deal with seeing her, won't be able to drive over and say jk, lets be friends when you get weak and it'll be easier to cut her off if she does say no.

I agree, I think you should tell her how you feel about her, regardless how it ends. But once you get your answer, that's it. (Depending on what she says, if course,) If she says she doesn't want to be with you, then ok. Move on. If it's meant to be, it will be. Accept the fact that, regarded, she's moving, and that doesn't have to be a bad thing. She's getting a chance to allow herself to grow, and that's a beautiful thing. So, if she says no, smile, wish her the best, and be happy for her. So that you can ultimately move and and be happy

I'll give you some advice based on my experience in this department. I think you need to tell her. Everything. Even if the outcome is awful, at least you have closure and move on. It's a lot easier than thinking "what if..." every time you two hangout. See I am in love with best friend and I made the mistake not to. Now I regret it every day and I miss him so much and he is far away. Just like yours will be. I have no closure so I still think about him and it's getting in the way of a possible relationship because I am still thinking of him. So tell her. That way you can either have a great relationship or you can get some closure and move on. I get it if you chicken out, I just don't want you making the same mistake I did. Every day I wish I had told him I love him. Take a chance and try this. Sometimes a risk has to be taken to have a happy ending.
