Going to an out of town party with someone I just started dating?

I just started dating this guy a couple weeks ago and he's asked me to a party thrown by his friend on the 4th. It's out of town, and I'm still kind of new to the area I'm living in, and I would not know anybody except him. I am also shy and not the most sociable person with strangers. Sometimes I do fine at parties where I don't know anyone, but sometimes I don't do well at all and end up seeming anti-social. I want to say yes, since I have nothing else to do, and right now I do not have any other friends in this state and it will also be one of my only chances to get to meet people. But I feel like it's better to say no, since we just started dating and aren't in a relationship, and it's in an unfamiliar place, and I wouldn't know how to get out of there if I ended up in a bad situation.

Your instincts are wise. Just look up any criminal case and see how bad things happen. Its usually because the individual who is going to them is on unfamiliar territory. Think logically and strategically over emotions and you will always be one step ahead of everyone.

Trust your instincts and say no. It could turn either way. Tell yourself if you stay together, you will get plenty of opportunities later on too.

Perhaps you can go there and tell people about a man called Jesus who died so that the sins of all may be forgiven. Sounds like there may be some souls there that need saving :) :) God bless. Matthew,
