my husband asked me to pick him up from work on new years eve saying he was getting off at 10 o'clock (unheard of) this was on a friday on the thursday he had tolld me there was so much work it was unlikely they would get of early, so the weekend went by. Onthe monday I drove him to work and arrived at half seven, when he was getting out of the car I asked him to ring me as I had my doubts, he said no,just get here for just after 10. It's a 40 minute drive in normal traffic, and I arrived back home at 8-15, to pick him up at the stated time, I had to leave again by 9-30, still being dubious about him getting off I decided to ring him, and did so at 9-35, and to my surprise still told me to pick him up. So of I go When I arrived there was a short wait before he appeared and low and behold no he wasn't getting off after all, asked what time he would be getting off he said no idea, so I said okay I don't mind an 1/2 hr wait, to which he went back into the office to reappear 5 minutes later and to tell me they where getting off at two, which had always been the case in the past 5yrs, he then went on to say I don't want to put you to any more trouble I'll get the bus home. The problem is I never believed he was told 10 o'clock and accused him of being a liar and what a nasty trick that was to pull, not for the first time, yes there are issues from the past, however rows followed that led knowhere so it was dropped, there has since been an event to cause me to bring it back up again, and as was instructed by him to ring his boss if I didn't believe him, I called the bluff and did just that, to which the answer to the question "Did you tell ----- he would be getting of at ten"?, "I don't remember anything about that ,what I do remember is saying they could leave early". How would you interpret the answer from his boss
