My boyfriend and I have lived together for long time and soon we will be married. Right now I'm in school, and he's pretty much paying for everything except when I get money through a short job, or refunds or whatever the extra income may be. Right now honestly, we're pretty broke. I have a son we also provide for, so our expenses are pretty high sometimes. Bless his heart I know he doesn't have to pay for everything and he does, but we came to this mutual agreement. I know it's hard for him when money gets tight and he can't do what he wants to like he did when he was single, but with commitment comes responsibility. So we literally have no money right now, we're kind of living paycheck to paycheck, but each paycheck is pretty much dedicated to a bill or an expense. Right now we have none, and we have a few hundred dollars worth of bills this week. We're pretty stressed out about money, and I found out he has a "glamis" fund. Glamis is the sand dunes in California where you bring your sand rails, quads etc. to just drive around. He's saving it go in February and our wedding is in March. I'm a little upset that he's saving money for that when we can barely eat and pay bills, and we also want to save money for the wedding. I'm also upset that he withheld the fund information and even further tried to refuse the amount. I understand that the trip is important to him, but I want him to realize that providing for his family right now is more important. I'm not opposed to saving money for it when we actually have the money, just not right now when we need every penny we can get. So I was just wondering how other people would feel in this situation and maybe advice on how to make the finance situation a little better. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
