Ok so this is the thing, I have moved from a city with lots of friends to a village where the average age is 87. Its a great place to live and I constantly remind myself of this but I'm a bit lonley. There are only 5/6 people my age here but I dont enjoy doing what they do (e.g clubbing/drugs/drinking) I have no other way of making friends though as hobbies/evening classes/groups are all like 30 miles away and I dont drive. I dont know how else to make friends? Should I force myself to hang out with other people in the village just so I can have friends? I'm confused. Anyway you dont have to reply I guess its a way to vent! Thanks for reading! :)

Why don't you organise something you do enjoy doing, and invite the people your age in the village? Just because they like clubbing/drinking doesn't mean they wouldn't also enjoy something more relaxed - especially if you do something in the day time. You might find that you do have some things in common with them afterall. And if not, well....I suggest learning to drive, fast!
