My parents don't like my boyfriend

I met my boyfriend two years ago in an online game. And for many reasons, we didn't get a chance to meet each other personally. Recently, we are planning for our first time face to face date. Though we have being on skype everyday for over 4 hours. My parents really hate this idea. They think he is just play me. Even though he is serious, his family is not as good as my family. He is living in a small town, and my family is in a big city. So if I finally decide to marry with him, it would be kind of lower my level. Since I am a graduate, and he is only graduated from high school. My parents pretty sure, we won't have a happy life and won't have nothing in common in future life. I really don't know what to do about this situation.

Sound's a bit complicated. This is something that only time can really tell, ya know? I mean it can either go good or bad and its totally up to you both about which way it goes and how you two connect with each other. Just remember that not all relationships work out as much as you want them to and as hard as you work at them, sometimes it's just not meant to be. But if it works, it works and thats totally fucking awesome! Being in a long distance relationship is much different from being in a real life face-to-face relationship. My relationship long distance is bad because I miss my boyfriend so much that I go crazy (not to get your hopes down), but when we're together it's the most enjoyable loving relationship ever! My family was very open to meeting my boyfriend and liked him very much. They also thought that he was just "using me" but we've been going on strong now through think and thin for years. If your family sees how happy he makes you then they'll definitely be more supportive and like him more! My boyfriend is a year younger than me and we met on an online game as well (: we have been talking since we were 15 and we're both 23 now. I think if you two are serious about your relationship, MAKE IT WORK and prove everyone wrong! Communication is KEY to any relationship. Hope your meeting goes well. And it works out for the best (:
