It's 2015 and I'm 26 now. Will get admitted as an advocate and solicitor soon. But I don't know if I can really be a lawyer.I've made so many mistakes so far. Lied so many ti. My boyfriend cheated on me with another girl and said I was not pretty and he's just using me to get what he wants. I came from a poor family where my dad is not earning and my mum's a kindergarten teacher. I'm a very lazy person and certainly not the brightest. I don't know if I can be a lawyer...and I'm suffering from depression and anxiety because of my ex boyfriends betrayal. I only have 700 dollars in my bank account and I'm almost broke. I cant afford a car for myself and I don't have any savings and i couldn't even pay my student loan... I spent it all on my boyfriend and splurge when I was too stressed up.... I've achieved what my parents wanted me to bur I feel that the career even thought rewarding may also eat my life up...I'm currently turnout physically and financially and mentally...what can I do..

First - Breathe. I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time. There is a way out, and yes, you absolutely *can* do this. Here's my opinion: Let's try and prioritize this stuff. Stress management and self care seem the highest priority to me. Without taking care of yourself first and well, the rest will not come easily or well, and maybe not at all. So, find a therapist to assist you with your depression and anxiety, and to address and these life stressors - relationships, family pressure and expectation, your own ambition and wants, "I'm lazy," etc. You are only as lazy as you allow yourself to be. Remember that *you* are at the helm of the ship called "ChowChow89's life." and what happens in your life will be a direct result of the decisions *you* make. You are not defined by the choices your ex made - he is. You are not defined by how poor your family is or where you come from. Rediscover the honor and pride that lives in where you come from. Re-take control of your finances. Make good financial decisions for yourself and begin to reclaim yourself and your life. You're having a round with self-doubt. It happens to everyone. You will get through this and it will evolve. You'll be able to address school and what you want to do professionally once you have a more solid foundation to launch from. It's okay to take a little time to get yourself together before going to law school. I guarantee you it will indeed "eat up your life." It is all-consuming, utterly challenging, and will take you to your breaking point. It's built to do that. So, if you do decide to go that route - be mentally, financially, and emotionally prepared for it so that you're setting yourself up for success. You absolutely *can* succeed at it. I say that because the only thing that is capable of stopping you is you. My suggestion is to take a break from trying to have all the answers, and give yourself whatever time you deem reasonable, a month, two, a semester, a year - whatever works for you, and is logistically workable in your life, to sort through some of this. Then when you do go to school (if that's what you end up deciding your next best step is), you'll be able to focus and take full advantage of the education.
