Confusion and paranoia

hi there, this may sound a little daft but my head is spinning around a little at the moment. i have recently met someone who i like a lot. i fancied him for a while before plucking up the courage to speak to him. i saw him again a coule days later and he seemed very into me too and not while drinking either, pretty affectionate. he was pretty eager to give me his number as i was leaving. i have now waited a couple days before contacting him and have text him, but he hasnt responded. his affections were also pretty public so i have ruled out him having a girlfriend as too close to home for that. am i just being a little paranoid over this?

You may sound a little daft, but I'm sure this isn't the case. It's just a question of how interested you are in this guy. By the sounds of it, you have had a bad experience - hasn't everyone? It is only normal to be cautious when entering into a relationship with someone you don't know that well. In this day and age, texting seems to be quite an informal way of starting a relationship without putting pressure on anyone, so you've done the right thing, and you've also made the first move. You took a couple of days to contact him, so perhaps he is waiting a short while to respond to your message. Perhaps he thinks that he'd scare you off if he texted back too quickly! Either way, what is this paranoia you are worried about - him possibly having a girlfriend, or a problem with him not returning your text? At the end of the day, if you are really serious about this guy, then you should give him a call at the weekend before someone gets in there first!

Thanks for your reply, i think the paranoia is with waiting for a reply text... still waiting!!! now given up. my friends also find it a little strange because of how he was with me!!! oh well probably never understand men eh. Texting is def such a naff way of starting something with someone, at least if you call and they dont answer then it can be left at that. not waiting for a reply. Im out myself this weekend so all i can say is if he cannot be bothered to reply it is his loss not mine, after all there are plenty more sexy guys out there! cheers mate!!!
