Break from LDR relationship. He slept with 2 people

Moved to different Universities last September, he stayed at home and I decided it was a good idea to go to Scotland. We did't end the relationship though as we're both really in love and were convinced we could make LDR work. However, we decided to take a break in October until I was home for Christmas. Just found out he has slept with 2 people over the break and dont know how to get over it. I feel physically ill. As we're back together but the fact he has had 2 one night stands, (we're both each others firsts) is just messing with my head. Advice welcomed please :(

Break from LDR relationship. He slept with 2 people

Whatever the reason was for deciding to take a break, did you set boundaries for this break? Or did it not occur to you that he would think of himself as a single guy during that time? Hopefully, he misunderstood and didn't break any rules. If he did, then that's another issue. And you would have to decide if it's worth giving him another chance. The bottom line is that you cannot change what has been done, but I will tell you something positive from this that will hopefully help you to stop resenting him for it..... Assuming you want him to ultimately become your life partner one day, it is all too often that young couples who were each others firsts, will later begin to feel like they want to see what it is like with another person and sometimes that is the reason for cheating. I am not saying all couples that lost their virginity to each other do that. I am just saying that it happens, or will at least be thought of. Case in point, my sister and her husband have been together for 16 years, married for 8. Their relationship began at the age of 16. When they both went to separate colleges, they took a small two month break once. BOTH of them explored and realized that they were the only ones for each other. They got the exploring out of their systems and have literally lived happily ever after! They don't even think about that time in their lives. Now I know it is different when only he has done that and you haven't, but hopefully he got it out of his system too and see's that you are the only one he can imagine being with.
