Men troubles

I have liked this guy for nearly a year now, and even though ive tried, it's not going away. I had got with him at a party once, and it carried on until morning when we wasn't drunk. However ever since then, not much has occurred other than he slept with somebody else because we had a fall out and didn't speak for a while. Anyway recently he's come back into contact with me and we're friends again. But s few days ago, at another party, he started to tell me that I was beautiful and amazing and he really regretted sleeping with somebody else. I don't know what to do, because he gives me mixed messages all the time. He knows I still like him; I told him. But we left things on a friend note because his and my head are a mess. We see eachother everyday at school, and I don't know what to do now, if I carry on like this I'll push him away again, this is painful:( What would you do?

Once you have let him back into your life, you have made a conscience decision to do so and this contributes to your pain. In reality, you may be beautiful and amazing but it's not enough for him to be with you hence your breakup in the first place. If you guys were compatible initially, then you would still be with him without the angst and drama. Going by your post, you're young and you're one of life's learning curves. Go back and look at why you fell out in the first place and ask yourself if anything has changed. This will be the reason he gives you mixed messages. Your instinct is telling you that all's not well and you should be obeying it. Above all else, you have the power and the choice to either resist him or accept him because of who he is and not so much as to what he is. Either way, once you decide on this, your pain will eventually fade away.

First do not go by your emotions if your head says something different. In my experience the head is right. Second do not listen to his words. If his messages are mixed something is seriously wrong. You will recover even if you see him everyday.
