Housing & employment dilemma

Sparing you of the boring details, in an nutshell I need to live in NY in the summer and NJ in the winter. Given that there is no way around this, please let me know if you can think of any "pointers" to make this happen. I am severely sick & disabled, so I can't work; my fiance works. Any tips for him to find a job in NY for this summer? He works 2 jobs that have locations in NY. How would he go about asking for relocating? He fears they will deny him because he's only been there for 3 months. It seems way too soon to ask to be relocated!! Does anyone have any advice? Thanks so much!

I don't think I'm qualified to comment, being a Brit. However, he's obviously passed the 3 month trial period, meaning the company obviously likes him and his job skills and work ethic, so would they not be sympathetic and wanting to help if they have a branch in NY and he explained how an unexpected circumstance had cropped up that meant he needed a transfer? I don't know, whether he'd have a valid request would all depend on what the 'boring details' were.
