Friend or foe?

Me and my friend have known each other for 9+ years. I recently allowed her to use an old car of mine so that she could learn how to drive. She agreed to fix whatever was wrong with the car in order for her to drive it. We never agreed on me selling the car to her. Today i received a letter in the mail stating that my car had been rowed and i had 20 days from the tow date to claim my vehicle before they sent it to the auction. I notified my friend about it and she said she had no odea that the car had been towed. How should i handle this situation.?
