I don't know if he likes me

Hi! First, I want to say that English isn't my mother language, so forgive me if I write something wrong. Ok, now let's begin. I'm 24 and I live in Brazil. In March I met a guy who's 24 too and he's basically everything I've ever wanted. We've been seeing each other every week since then. I already know some of his friends, he takes me to cool places and sometimes we just stay at home. Last month he started to pay for everything (we used to split the bills before), and that means something in Brazil (sometimes). My problem is that here in my country if the guy wants something serious, he has to ask the girl if she wants to be his girlfriend. He never did this, and we've been together for five months. He's kinda shy but I'm not sure if that's the reason why he didn't ask me. I'm in love and I don't want to have my heart broken. I need to know if he likes me or not. What do you think, guys?

Well if i was in your situation the first thing i would do is sit him down. make sure his friends or family isn't around because people are more honest when someone isn't watching them. tell him how you feel and then ask him if he feels the same way, if he says no then tell him you still want to be friends but you can't see eachother anymore if he says yes then there you go you got yourself a new boyfriend.
