Breaking it off

I am new to this forum and looking for some advise, if anyone has any. My long term gf left me about a year ago but occasioanlly contacts me and wants to meet. I have been single since she left me, so I have met her on occasions. The times we see each other it just feels meaningless and I want to stop seeing each other like that. How should I tell her I don't want to see her like that anymore? I don't want to hurt her feelings. Ideas?

What does she say each time is her REASON for wanting to occasionally strike up contact and meet? Define 'meet'. Do you mean, have sex? Also, WHY don't you want to hurt her feelings? Do you really think she's considering you and what YOU want when she behaves like this?

I don't think you have to hurt her feelings. Tell her the truth. You aren't interested in being friends with benefits anymore. Honestly is always the best policy ~ especially if done respectfully.

Ok, it's been a year since she left you. OK read that again left you, So she hurt/broke your heart and what? wants to be friends? Have a booty call? Know that you haven't gotten over her and that you haven't replaced her? As a female, we are horrible nasty creatures and we never want to be forgotten. But even when the ex moves on we want to know that the new gf isn't as good. Why is that? I would like to know, cause that's just mean. OK, so you can do one of two things, you can just be honest and tell her straight up. The truth shall set you free, maybe. If she gets her feelings hurt that is not your fault how you feel and what you want. The other thing you can do is be super annoying the next time you guys talk or hang out. Talk about this "new" girl you are seeing and go on about things like "she is the best thing in you life, or could see a future with her. Just remember taking little steps is easier than standing still
