A guy I work with played with my feelings

I have liked this guy I work with for a while, I was excited when he started talking to me on facebook. We flirted for a couple of days and he told me he liked me but wasn't looking for a relationship at the moment. However he started talking toe less and less and had all kinds of excuses why. He even told me that he wasn't talking to someone else when I asked on the phone. However, right after that he massaged me saying thay he had been talking to someone almost as long as he'd been talking to me and that she was starting to get upset about me and him talking. Then he said that I shouldn't be as upset as I was because we didn't know eachother that well. The reason I was upset was because he led me on for a week. I would like to know how I should get over my feelings and how I should deal with seeing him at work? This is my first time asking anything online, but I'm desperate and this last guy has really destroyed my confidence. I would apreciate any honest advice. Thank you.

did he really lead you on ? I believe he told you from the start he wasn't looking for a relationship : maybe it's you who made it to be into what it is not you shouldn't just blindly throw your trust into anybody - just after a couple of exchanges on Facebook - I understand you may like him but you have to be real : you can not project on him your expectations as far as I know you should move on and keep him as an online friend : don't hang on to someone who obviously wants to handle his life otherwise all the best :)

I agree with THEDOS: I don't believe he lead you on. He was up front with you he told you he wasn't looking for a relationship. At work be cordial and friendly.
