How did you break your leg was it work related? Did you have it straightened and set by a doctor? You said you were in pain. I would say something about the affordable heath care act but I don't want to start a sore subject. Well I wish I could help you somehow

Constant pain can be a source of extreme depression. I am really sorry you're experiencing that, and I can only imagine how it would feel. Are you able to still take care of yourself - like housekeeping, meals, bathing/dressing? If not and you're in the United States, you may qualify for a Medicaid Waiver like the Elderly and Disabled Medicaid Waiver or they may have one by another name. You would have to look up the office in your area. You could possibly qualify to receive assistance at home - like help with care, cleaning, meals. Have you looked into online support groups for friendship/comfort for chronic pain sufferers? Look into natural pain relief methods in an online search and talk to your doctor about changing your pain medication or the dosage. *Also be aware that the medicines you are on could be contributing to your depression. Sometimes just knowing that can be a relief. When you feel a bit better, there are work at home job options that may help tide you over until you are fully functional. Or maybe you could look into going to school online for a new career? Hard to think about that at the moment, I'm sure. If you seriously start to feel suicidal, please don't hesitate to contact a suicide hotline and talk to someone. Seek counseling, if you haven't already. There are therapists out there with sliding scale fees. You are experiencing a "dark night of the soul" right now. You will be stronger for this experience.

I was intrigued by the title of the post. Broken leg - at a low point and the icon with the guy in the wheelchair. Just funny to me. Is this still a problem for you?
