Having trouble getting past the cheating my partner did

My partner cheated on me several times: texting girls, sex, meeting up with them, dating websites, photos. He claims he is faithful and trying to do right...but i find it so hard to believe. Alot of our problems stem from the cheating, and its preventing us from moving forward because i just have the hardest time trusting him again.
I have trust issues now because of it... i want to move forward for the better so we can parent our child the best that we can. Im just not sure on how i can go about getting passed this to regain the love we once shared again. We dont have sex regularly anymore...so that puts more tention on the relationship because he feels sex is a #1 need...but i feel trust is a #1 need for our situation to get better. He thinks sex fixes everything and it doesnt. Someone please give me some advice to help us along.
The only way you guys can move forward is by being on the same page and sharing the same values. If this isn't the case, then you need to ask why he cheated in the first place. You're more than correct, your relationship basically doesn't exist if there isn't any trust and you need to determine if you share the same goals for a life together. You both have to have the need to repair your relationship, and you can do this, but only if your BF regains your trust through actions and not so much with words.
It's all OK for you to be committed, but if he isn't, then it's a waste of time.
