Hello all,
Ok, so this is a really weird situation to be in. So, the thing is, we have been married for 5 years, and we are gifted with a beautiful daughter. But since some days, my husband is having a lot of work pressure and he is really tensed and worried about it. He is always gloomy and has gets irritated fast. Since our daughter’s birthday was coming up, I wanted to plan a party for her.
One night, when he came back from work, I asked him about it, and he got really angry and started shouting. I should have understood that it was not really the right time to ask, but I also got angry when he started shouting at me for no reason, and we finally ended up in an argument. My husband has a really loud voice, and people can easily hear him talk.
Hearing all the noise and shouting, our neighbors called up the police, they thought it was some serious issue, and now my husband has been charged for domestic violence. I know my husband well, and he would never hurt me, we just had a small argument, and we would solve it among ourselves. But, our really interfering and creepy neighbors told the police that we always have arguments and fight.
Now, my husband has been booked with a serious offence. We are so confused, don’t know what to do and how to solve this. Since it has become legal, we had to hire a lawyer, and we have hired Defense group, a criminal defense lawyers,
http://www.defencegroup.ca/. . This is such an unwanted issue and headache. When I never had any complaint, I wonder why my neighbors are so concerned, and irritating. I just hope to solve this asap and start our normal life because now, our life is interfered by the police.
Wow, that is messed up! I would be so angry with my neighbours.. I am from an Eastern European family, and are normal conversations are loud. The same goes with Greeks (my fiance is Greek), they're even louder! Typically, east european people will have a blow up & it's all over in a couple of minutes & everyone is back to normal. It sounds ignorant of your neighbour to assume & stick their noses in your business. I don't know about anyone else, but I would really assess the situation if I was concerned about a neighbour, especially when it means bringing them criminal charges.
Some people feed off drama in their lives, any which way they can get it & it's dangerous (as your situation shows).
I can't advise on anything legal, but I should would be paying the neighbours a visit & explain to them exactly why you're upset about what they've done, you don't want them jumping to conclusions again anytime soon.
All the best.
