Loans or gifts

I am on benefits as I have many disabilities that prevent me working,last October my boyfriend of 10 years offered money to pay for my car repairs I told him I would not be able to repay but he insisted I take it,a few months later there was another repair needed and he said it looked like he would never get back the money he had paid out on it,that is when I realised he thought of it as a loan,I got a high interest loan in February this year and paid him half the money back,he said I should sell the car and get back the rest of the money he had paid into it so I did this,then the day after he said he never told me to sell the car this makes me feel like a liar and also wondering how long it will be before he reminds me of all the other things he pays for that I can not afford,I have tried many times to talk about this but he changes the subject I am sick of the whole thing.

Rearranging facts to avoid looking responsible is gaslighting. You're not crazy. You're just in an unhealthy relationship. Definitely time to move on.
