Do you guys think she's trying to avoid me?

so idk if shes trying to avoid me or not but the other day at work i was giving people there food at their table & when i went over i saw the girl i used to liked back in high school just sitting at the table with her boyfriend & i just stood there looking at her she was looking at me too but then i looked away & went back to work. then the other day i saw her boyfriend buying food for the both of them but she didnt go with him i guess. but then the next day when i went out with my friends at the mall i guess she was there with her boyfriend & was talking about me because when i turn around i saw him looking at me but then looked away.

It's possible you're freaking your old high school crush out by staring at her. I get that these glimpses are probably more brief than your describing them seems, but the fact that you don't mention having much conversation with her signals to me that you were just looking at her and not actually trying to catching up. If you didn't talk much back in high school, it's entirely possible she was trying to place your face and remember you the first time you looked at each other. Now it seems like she may have recognized you, if she and the boyfriend were looking your way and talking about whatever they were looking at. Not really sure if she is trying to avoid you per se. I just think this is awkward for her. Fact of the matter is, she has a boyfriend - you've gotta set that crush back to the side where you left it before. If you are interested in talking to this girl and getting to know her on a strictly friends basis, then by all means try to talk to her the next time you run into each other. You can let on like you slowly put two and two together and recognized who she is, if you haven't already said your hellos again. Otherwise you can shrug off the awkward stares as being too busy to talk or distracted at the time.

You may have creeped her out. You stared at her and you didn't say anything. You saw her again and didn't say anything. If you see her again say a quick Hi and just carry on.
