Marriage problems

Hello all, If anyone else is been through the same as me it would help me understand my husband told me he loves me but is not in love with me. He is staying at his parents it’s been 5 weeks and it’s so hard I’m struggling so much. We have been together for nearly 16 years. He still kisses and hugs me and says he loves me but never writes it anymore. I don’t know what to feel as he said he may come back he may not as we have been through a lot over the years and I haven’t helped matters. We all went out with his parents for a meal last night which every time he sees me he always says how nice I look. Is there anyone that can help in knowing what this means as I want him back. Thank you

I haven’t been the nicest person I have made mistakes and so had he but it got to much for him he said he felt trapped with the arguments over the past two years and so did I. He says he loves me but not sure if he wants to work it out. His parents are supportive to us both. I have now started to see a professional as I have a lot that I haven’t dealt with in my past and I live in the past. I’m trying so hard to see things can change I just want him back even though his hurt me.
