Am I reading to into cuddling?

So I hooked up with this guy the other day. We were friends when we were little but we haven't seen eachother in three years and things just happened:P We didn't have sex, I told him I didn't want to go all the way and he was okay with that. But we did basically everything else. We had left my two other friends in his room because they fell asleep while watching a movie, and we were making out and cuddling in there before we decided to take it to the other room. Afterwards I started to get up to put my clothes back on and go back to his room but he pulled me back down and he's just like, "No let's just lay here for awhile." we just cuddled for awhile and we fell asleep like that. Now I've read some articles in the past, and apparently it means that a guy is into you. I'm used to hookups, there's typically no real feelings, but I think this is different. I'm honestly not your clingy girly type, but I'm kinda crushing on him. He's not my boyfriend, and honestly I was really surprised that he wanted me to stick around. Now am I reading too much into this or am I getting the wrong message?
