Asking to much?

Hello, I've been married to my husband for 16 years now. I love him so much but my upset is he never does anything special for me like roses,card NOTHING! Our anniversary was yesterday and I even gave hints but nada... I've told him several times that I would like more romance he always says he'll work on it and it never happens. He thinks paying bills shows enough love 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Am I asking too much?
