I'm stuck in friendzone! Help!

Hi. I'm a boy 23, I have a friend that we are so close to each other. since last year I had some feelings for her. I feel comfortable around her, she is cute and has a great personality. last year I asked her if we could be in a relationship or not and she told me that she don't want to talk about it. At that time we weren't close like today and she was broke up with her last relation about three months before, but now she forgot the last guy cause she found out he cheated on her. also I'm her best friend these days and she doesn't have many friends. I want to ask her again but I don't know how to escape this friendzone. what should I do? I don't want to it became like last time.

for some reason I know if I tell her again she wouldn't like that and she becomes upset about me and it won't be fixed easily and in summer I was with someone else and she know about it, basically its nothing important but that relation last long for only a month. she knows me so well and that scares me, cause I think she would think that this would not work for us. I feel so safe around her and last year when we were coworkers I was feeling so much better than today that I work alone. losing this friendship that I have today is a painful price for the risk. I need to gain her attention and feeling before that I ask her again. and that's where I have problem.
