Advice about dealing with ex's.. Or am I just crazy

So I moved in with my boyfriend this past April. He was with his ex fiancee for almost 7 years so there were a lot of things she left behind. I didn't go crazy change furniture or anything major. I redecorated, painted some walls ( which he said I could do, whatever makes me feel more comfortable in the house). Yet he gets on my case about throwing out bed sheets??? I put them out in te garage , I don't want to sleep in the same sheets, I find it too weird. Somethings I took out as well because they arejust plain ugly, like the kitchenware ... Absolutely dreadful. It wasn't just bc they were someone else's, it wasn't something I liked using everyday. would you be okay using everyday things ... Towels, kitchenware, sheets ect EVERYDAY that obviously matched there once home theme/ style??? Or I am crazy

You aren't crazy, haha. I am living with my boyfriend and I hated seeing this one mug/coin holder that his ex had made for him. I totally understand your reason for wanting to change some things, it makes sense. I would feel uncomfortable sleeping on those sheets too. My boyfriend has had sex with a girlfriend before in his bed and I didn't really want to sleep on those sheets either. Even though it was nearly a year since they broke up but it was weird at first thinking that I was sleeping on a bed that they had sex in...eeewww. It makes sense. Choose things that you both would like to decorate the house with and explain to him how it makes you feel, why you don't want to use or keep certain things there from his "past life".
