Dejavu

Ok, Ive been seeing this guy for about 3 months now and he really seems to want a commitment with me. however i am seeing telltale signs that my ex showed and im scared to fall back into the same scenario. My ex lost his job and when he did i picked up all the slack however when he started to work again he treated my money like it fell off trees. this new guy has told me that he is starting a new business and i understand. so i took him out to dinner for his birthday which was one of our first dates. he didnt pay and after this date he has yet to pick up a tab. he hasnt even paid for the takeout we get when were just chillin @ my house. it has gone as far as him borrowing $40 from me. he did pay the money back within 2 days but im scared to keep dating him because im seeing what i think are "red flags" to him being a user like my ex. what should i do?

If you offer to pay once or twice that is fine, but he should at least try to pay next to be polite. I would not be a sucker if i were you don't settle.
