How do I talk to him ?

So I'm 15 years kid and I've never been in a serious relationship. Basically I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes down to crushes and dating and what not. To start from the beginning I just moved to a new school and there's this guy that I just can't get off my mind. We are in marching band together, same section, so we spend a lot of time together, strictly professional (as professional as high schoolers can be) but that's as far as it goes. We have so much in common but he shows absolutely no interest in me and only talks to me when he has to or if were together and have no one else to talk to. Idk what all this means .. I for one am extremely shy and don't know how to be flirty or anything remotely attractive... What do I do ? How do I know if he's not in fact jut a shy as I am ? Or is he just not interested ?

just try to be friends with him for now,things will become clearer,his thoughts about you.Be patient.
