Married to a needy, insecure, sufficating man

Does anyone have advice on what to do with a husband that is needy, clingy, does not like me to have friends, does not like me to go grocery shopping without him, does not like when i smoke a cigarette without him, etc. we've tried counseling, church, church help groups, and im begging to think he enjoys his ways. Any advice?

Good news, i see change. My husband is going to a mens stag alanon meeting, committed himself to going once a week. Tonight I saw a bit of change. Who knew. He's alright, and i am breathing.
