Developing intimacy

Hi, Recently I tried to develop intimacy with one of my classmates. She is from china and a few years younger than mine. She was showing lots of interest in me for a month and then, I responded to her and called her a date. On the first date we spent time with some initial talks and coffee. It was okay with both of us. She wanted to bring tea for me from china. Then she went to china and came back after a week. I invited her to have a chat, but she said she was busy. I tried to meet her three times and every time she said she was busy. Then I stopped. I did not even dared to ask her what went wrong. Did you have any idea?
