I'm 17, she's 15

I've only had one girlfriend before. We were 8 years old when we started dating. Typically I'd be the first to say that it doesn't count because we were so young, but we were together for 4 years so I count it haha. Anyways, I only said all that to explain that i'm serious about relationships. More importantly, i'm serious about this girl I met about a year ago. The thing is that she's 15 and i'm 17. I know that later in life those 2 years won't mean much, but I feel like right now they mean a lot. Specifically to her parents. My birthday is march 25th, hers is October 6th. So there's almost a three year difference. I really like her a lot, and i'm pretty sure she likes me, but idk if I should ask her out or not. I kinda want to talk to her parents about it first. I know that would be the right thing to do, but a lot could go wrong too.
