I like him, he likes me.. no communication

So one of my best friends at work is trying to hook me and her brother up. She showed him my picture and she showed me his, we both are attracted to each other and gave her the green light to introduce us. Well we haven't met in person yet but we've been texting for about 3 weeks. The problem is it's hard to stay in contact with him because his phone is broke; he can't send or receive texts and he can make calls but its hard to hear. He's currently texting me off of my best friend ipod, that's fine but he can only text me in a WiFi area and the app he's using sucks I know cause I had it. The other problem is the fact that we have not met yet. Our first date got cancelled because someone close to him was injured badly; the second attempt got cancelled because when we tried to reschedule we kind of rescheduled on two different days, so he's thinking it's one day im thinking its the other day; third attempt he got called into work and I can't be mad at him because i'm always getting called into mine and I understand how it is to need the extra hours. I like this guy a lot and he told me he liked me too and wants to get to know me he also told me rom the start that he wants a serious long term relationship, I just don't know how to deal with the fact that I can't talk to him as much as I want to throughout the day. Is that bad? I don't want to give up on this guy and I feel like it's going to get better communication wise, any idea on how I can keep myself from overreacting?

Ebby, unless you live miles and miles apart from each other, this guy would have met you after 3 weeks if he really needed to. He would have made it happen if he wanted a serious long term relationship with you. Follow your instinct here, it'll keep you from overreacting.

Be careful EBBY, anonymous people can always be dangerous. You mean to say in 3 weeks this brother couldn't even find time to come down just to even give you a 'Hi'?? Doesn't that sound like a disinterest? Is your best friend playing a prank on you? Does such a person really exist? Do one thing give a surprise visit to his workplace and find out whats going on. Gives me lots of doubts on genuineness though.
