Pressure and hope

Given that my problems are not exactly emotional or sexual I still hope I will get good people to advice me here. I am Fred a level one med school student in the University of Nairobi. I have big dreams of becoming a medical doctor to help serve my country. I really give medicine priority over most things but am feeling like nothing is paying off. I just feel like am loosing hope and pressure from everyone around me does not really help the situation. Please if anyone can relate to me or has good advice that can help me they are welcomed.

Hi you are a med schools well done I wish you every success in your career.It is long road ,and one where you give so so much for a long time before you get back. By the sound of your post you are feeling pressure from other people's expectations of you. That is all part of becoming a doctor aswell as the books. There will be times in life when you are trying to do and achieve something big, that self doubt creeps in, or the critical voice. We all possess them ( part of are superego) all of the self doubt , and criticism can build and build up and you have stress. You know this ,stress overtime can become chronic where is will turn into anxiety,fear, learned helplessness......etc All you can do is your best. Never loose hope in your abilities. You will change as a person along the way through this massive commitment. Self care is vital in this career path, take care,never let things get to a point where you feel no hope. Thins to help you are make a plan.... one you can follow to help you manage time, for studying. Do you exercise? Do you have leisure outside of study. Do you have friends to support you (no compete) just mates to hang out and have FUN,to release that stress. I know you are thinking I do not have the time to do this stuff. Not a wise move,you have got to create this time for yourself. Get your confidence back.... you are more than a student ...... You will be well ahead of the game....
