22 year old dating an 18 year old UK

I met this girl while clubbing and we really hit it off, we started seeing each other for a couple of weeks, at first I thought she was at least 20 however then discovered that she is 18. I am 22. I know this complies with the half your age plus seven rule but I do worry. Is this socially acceptable? Am I just being stupid cos I really like her. Opinions please!

It depends on your age. if it was 4 years before society would look down upon it but because both of you are over 18 it isnt frowned upon much. its only 4 year age gap which is the same as my parents and they're still happily married so age doesnt have much to do with a relationship its more to do with your two's common ground. just get out there, take it slow and see where things take you
