Partner being abusive

I have been with my fiance for 8 years now and he decided to stop smoking two weeks ago and since he has been very nasty and abusive towards me. I am really uncomfortable and scared but dont know how to deal with it because he has never been like this before and I am afraid we might lose eachother. Can anyone give me any advice

I gave up smoking 2 weeks ago too and it is difficult but I have used nicotine substitutes. Is your fiance using anything? If not you need to suggest to him (preferably when hes calm) that this will not only help him quit but will help with his unusual moods. I say suggest because the last thing you need is for him to think your lecturing him or nagging because I can guarantee that will set him off again. Hope this helps and good luck.
