How do I keep a relationship together when children are involved?

Default profile image
I'm in a relationship with a nice man but his daughters live about 40 miles away. He is thinking of moving closer to them and I don't really know how that is going to work for us. Currently we live together. I think that if he moves away then our relationship will be over. That saddens me greatly because we are so in love. I know he is torn, but I don't really know what to do about it. Please help!

Sorry but if you were so in love with this man- you'd make the sacrifice and move unless it would impact you in a huge way- distance to work. I'm sorry but 40 miles isn't that bad but then again I don't know where you live or how congested the roads are. If he doesn't see his children as often as he'd like bc of the distance, I think he should be able to do that- family is important. Why end the relationship bc he wants to move and be closer to his kids? Why can't you make the sacrifice?

JJJJE4 - I don't doubt that this isn't a nice man. Every daughter needs their father around or close to them. Anyone that is a daddy's girl knows this. Ages 19 and 14 is when daughters needs protection (really all ages)and they need to be able to communicate often with their father. They need their trusting male energy presence that only a father can give them. So many fathers are no where around, (some ~ due to certain circumstances beyond their control) or they are not spending value time with their daughers. It's a reason why he knows he must be close to them. Ask him? True and real love can never separate two people whether near or far ever! Love is the most powerful divine force in this universe and on this planet. He is fortunate his daughters love him and so do you. First Corinthians 13th chapter is the Love Chapter read it. Communicate and trust is the foundation in which every strong relationship can last a life time. Don't worry!
