I really like this guy please can someone help me

I met this guy through a best mate of mine we where messaging each other and we all went on a night out a week after me and this guy kissed. Over the next week he texted me loads and even put posts on my Facebook and told my mates he liked me.I went to his on thurs and stayed till sat, as I have been suffering with a really bad ear infection. We did sleep together it was nice. On Saturday I went to a and e because I was in so much pain cos of my ear. This guy was amazing messaged me loads and stuff I had to go in twice that day once in an ambulance and he was really supportive and lovely. Two days after he changed from calling me babe and texting me loads to me always initiating. He told me because of the raf he can't commit we said we would c what happens. I asked him where do I stand he won't say now. I sent a goodbye text no reply. I need to get my health back. He didn't reply he told my mate he likes me bt I was rushing. He messaged me back about a and e but won't answer my question. The doctor told me the last medication caused anxiety hence y I was ott with him. I decided to give him space he messaged me the other day with this Hey :) Look it wasn't you that did this it was me ! I don't want to get to close or attached to anyone or let anyone get to attached to me becaue that won't be fair on them or me when I eventually get in the raf ... becaue when am in their I just want to be able to concentrate on that :) I'm just letting you know that it wasn't you I distanced my self becaue I didn't want to be getting attached becaue I know that when I get in I am going to have to stop anything that we might have had . Your a really nice girl you really are :) and one day you will find someone that can give you all the love and attention that you need and want but for the next few years that won't be me :) I know it seems like I'm just making stuff up and saying things but am not I would really like to still be friends and go out for drinks and still see you every now and then becaue your a nice person (that's of you want) but for now that'd all it can be :) I'm sorry <3 Xxxxxxxxx We spoke after and I know it's about the raf so he said let's be mates and c what happens I said I can't sorry his uncle spoke to him today and said to him she's gorgeous and your good together he said I know his uncle said he does like me he can tell He messaged him later saying have u seen her pics and she likes u he didn't reply I think best thing I can do is leave him to get his head clear I left him for one day and he messaged me the next day His uncle spoke to him yest afternoon and convinced him to think about it he said he would. However his uncle asked him again last night and hes now saying he doesn't want to see anyone. He also told his uncle that he knows I am perfect for him but he doesn't want a relationship all his family are annoyed with him because he has really hurt me. Do you think giving him space will help? I think he likes me please help Cat x
