Why my relationships never last for longer than 4-5 months

I have realised that all my relationships with men for the last two-three years never last longer than 4-5 months,if so long.I was involved in an abusive relationship with my son's father in college.He was my first serious relationship and I fell hopelessly in love with him.He was a cheat and abused me mentally and physically.I held on for a while but finally walked away after three years.This period of my life was very hard as my mother had also turned her back on me.I turned my life around and furthered my education.I tried to focus on being a strong single mother.Since my son's father and I separated I tried to reenter about 3-4 relationship's with men.Things always seem to start off perfect.He attentive, calls me and and I begin to think

I'm not sure if the post got cut off, but from my opinion you should recap on how these relationships have worked and compare pros and cons. I was in a couple of relationships that left me heartbroken in similar ways, when I compared them I realized I was going after the same type of man who was obviously not compatible. It was like walking in circles, if you compare them and notice similaritis then you can work on how to differentiate for the future. You're a very strong woman and I know it's frustrating, but a lot of these times we miss the little things. Goodluck!
