How to avoid a boring old aunt

I am facing a difficult situation with a boring aunt of mine over the past few years. She hasn't worked for the past few years and has plenty of time to talk. When she calls me, she wastes an entire hour talking about totally irrelevant things. Since she is a relative, I can't be too harsh to her. I have communicated my lack of interest in talking to her many times by telling I have to take care of my kid or do some work, but she doesn't let go. She insists that I talk to her for few more mins. I haven't picked up her calls for the past few months and now she leaves sad messages asking why I am not talking to her or replying to her emails. What is the best way for me to deal with this situation?

hmmm the best solution I can think of is to take her once to a part or a get together and try to help her in making friends. This way she will have friends of her own age and she will be spending time with them rather then bothering you.
