Inexperienced

Hey, I suppose like most of the problems on here, my problem is about boys. You see, I've just met this guy who I really like but don't know very well. He's my friends boyfriends mate and I had drifted away from my friend slightly but now we are rebuilding our relationship, meaning things are slightly awkward and I don't want to mention it to her. My friends bf wants to set me up with his best mate who I don't like and no matter how much I tell him he doesn't believe me. So now I've started liking one of his other mates and I'm trying to get to know him better but it's hard because he does so many activities out of school I can't contact him on msn or facebook and I don't have his number. Plus I'm really inexperienced with guys so I don't know what to do... anybody willing to help me out, or am I just being stupid? xx
