Need some advice on my situation

Hi everyone, I have a really difficult situation. My girlfriend and I have been seeing each other for over 5 yrs. We have lived together for most of that time. Our relationship has it’s ups and downs, like everyone else. But for the most part it is good. Her father is extremely ill at the moment, so she has moved to be with him and take care of him. She is only a couple of hours away. We agreed to see each other as often as possible, but I have only seen her once in almost 3 months. I have offered to move in with her , come and pick her up, and so on. She dosen’t think it’s a good idea. Ok, but recently the phone calls are becoming more less frequent. I will call her, she will say she is busy and call me back in 45 min, 3 – 4 days go by still no phone call. I try calling her but no answer. She say’s she loves me, I know she is having a very hard time right now with her father, her mother passed away 3 yrs ago, and it looks like she will lose her father soon to. I feel very neglected and ignored at the moment. I need some advice, if anyone has gone through something similar

I am sorry that you and your girlfriend are going through this difficult time. I cared for my mother as she died of cancer, and it was very difficult and very overwhelming. I am wondering, have you offered to help take care of her father? Perhaps you could care for him while she goes to get a manicure or a massage(and you pay for them, as a gift).
