How can I show him what he's missing if I never see him?

So this guy that I've been crazy about for the past year just recently ended up hurting me pretty badly. Long story short, he led me on. We've been friends for about 3 years but last year, things got a bit serious, which he apparently wasn't ready for, even though I treated him very well. We recently went through the same thing all over again. I know typically, I'm supposed to cut contact with him for a while, then pretty myself up so that the next time he sees me, he swoons, right? Right, exactly. So I've been in NC for 28 days, given myself a makeover and have been doing a lot of work on my happiness and self-esteem. But I'm concerned he may never see it, because he got expelled from our school and I have him blocked on all of my social media. We're neighbors, but I hardly ever see him around. At this point, I'd say my best bet would be to unblock him and allow him to see me in our mutual friends' posts. Any other suggestions? Please don't say things like, "just move on with your life, it's not worth your time." It's not that I want him back, because I don't. I just really need him to respect me and regret hurting someone who cared so much for him.
