How can I help her to want to live again

For my best friends birthday she wants to chuge down a bottle of aleve i have a week to convince her there's more in this life but all the friends shes had end up leaving her because they commited suiside i dont want her to go down that rode i told her we all care about and love and respect her and i would never want her to go but i couldnt stop her cauce its not my choice and i know it gets hard but shes come so far and made a big imprent on my life i cant let her go

I can understand where you want to help your friend and you are a very good friend to be doing this. The best thing that you can do is be there for your friend and let her know of the options she has available to carry on with her life. please contact the suicide hotline for additional tips in helping your friend. Every life is precious and there is no need for suicide.

Yes you are a good friend. Maybe you can look on your computer search engine for "Suicide Hotline for Your Town" and see what the phone number or web site contact is. You talk to them and see what they say. Find out where they are located and see if your friend will go to talk to them, right then, or at set time, according to what the situation is. Can you take her to see a counselor? All she needs is some anti-depressants and she'll probably be OK. I take anti-depressants, along with lithium, for my manic-depression, and I'm calm enough to sit here and write this. How about keeping us in touch as to what the Hot Line says, and if you got her to see a counselor. Let us know what is going on. You might want to stay with her if you can.
