How to fix broken trust in marriage

I need advice on how to deal with broken trust. A little over 2 months ago, I found out that my husband had been doing some things that destroyed my trust in him. I don't want to give many details (not cheating; more along the lines of poor judgment & illegal behavior). I only found out because I overheard a conversation that lead me to address him. He initially came clean about some of the details. It wasn't until 2 days later (after I found out much more information & threatened divorce) that he came totally clean about it all - what exactly he was doing, why he was doing it, how long it had been going on (2+ months), etc. Anyways, ever since then, I can't help but be suspicious of him. I constantly find myself thinking he's just finding sneakier ways to continue his past behaviors. It physically makes me sick that my husband had these secrets for a couple months and now I can't trust him. I am having such a hard time getting over this. He's done a few things to try and make it "better" (that we came up with together), but I still feel this way. What else can I do? Is it just going to take more time?

So why is he doing this illegal behavior? Now that you know what's going on you become accessory after the fact if the law becomes involved. What things did you come up with to make things better? If drugs are involved- the only smart option is to STOP Period... For now trust him until he gives you a reason not to....

SKINNYGIRL, Basically he got greedy. He found an easy way to make money (illegally) and got carried away with it. He has since cut ties with all things involved with the illegal behavior. I am trying my best to trust him. I guess it will just take time. I told him if any degree of this ever happens again, I will be done with our marriage. I guess I just need to have faith that I mean enough for him to not go back down that path.
